Former Democratic congresswoman and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has been named to President Donald Trump’s transition team, according to a new report on Tuesday.
Gabbard joins former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who revealed that he was asked to join as a Trump transition team member on Monday.
“As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have been added to the Trump/Vance Transition team,” Trump campaign senior advisor Brian Hughes said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“We look forward to having their powerful voices on the team as we work to restore America’s greatness,” Hughes added.
The announcement comes just one day after the former Hawaiian congresswoman and Army veteran endorsed Trump on Monday during a National Guard Association event.
As RSBN previously reported, Gabbard strongly criticized the Democrats’ lack of leadership in foreign policy during her remarks on Monday, claiming that “we are a nation at the brink of war.”
“This administration has us facing multiple wars on multiple fronts in regions around the world, and closer to the brink of nuclear war than we ever have been before,” Gabbard said.
“This is one of the main reasons why I am committed to doing all that I can to send President Trump back to the White House, where he can once again serve us as our commander-in-chief,” she continued.
Earlier Tuesday, RSBN reported that Kennedy said on Monday that he was asked to join Trump’s transition team if he wins in November. Kennedy shared the news during an interview with Tucker Carlson posted to X.
“We’re working on policy issues together,” Kennedy told Carlson during the nearly 90-minute conversation.
“I’ve been asked to go on to the transition team, you know, to help pick the people who will be running the government, and I’m looking forward to that,” Kennedy added.
Kennedy endorsed Trump on Friday during a rally in Glendale, Arizona. Trump introduced him as a “huge influence” on the Trump campaign.
“Tonight, I’m very pleased to welcome a man who has been an incredible champion for so many of these values that we all share, and we’ve shared them for a long time,” Trump said in his introduction. “I think he’s going to have a huge influence on this campaign.”
