President Donald Trump continues to receive massive support from Americans following the unprecedented FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago last Monday.
On Saturday, a large crowd of Trump supporters gathered at Mar-a-Lago to support the 45th president and protest the “political weaponization” of the FBI and the Justice Department.
Political analyst, Benny Johnson, shared video footage of the crowd, saying, “Check out all of the Trump supporters who came out to Mar-A-Lago to show their support after the FBI raid.” Another supporter shared the video footage, explaining, “Supporters have been here all week.”
Rallies continued on Sunday near the president’s Florida home.
Following the announcement of the FBI’s raid at Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach locals quickly traveled to the 45th president’s residence to show solidarity.
A crowd of Trump supporters gathered outside Mar-a-Lago Monday night and continued to attract large numbers of Trump supporters all week long. One Trump supporter told Fox News, “As soon as I saw it, I drove here from Tampa. This is nuts.”
More East Coast Trump supporters gathered with Trump flags, American flags, and more in what appeared to be a car parade in Long Island, New York.
Trump issued a statement Sunday night, once again criticizing the FBI for engaging in “political” actions against a United States president.
“America has never suffered this kind of ABUSE in Law Enforcement,” he said. “For the FBI to RAID the home of the 45 President of the United States, or any President for that matter, is totally unheard of and unthinkable.”
Trump warned Americans that the “unannounced” raid on Mar-a-Lago was “a sneak attack on democracy.” Moreover, Trump pointed out that the raid was “done at a time when the President was not even present.”
According to The Hill, on Friday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., called the FBI’s actions political persecution of the 45th president and claimed Attorney General Merrick Garland “abused his position of power.”
Trump explained, “It was for political, not legal reasons, and our entire Country is angry, hurt, and greatly embarrassed by it. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
