Eric Trump on Tuesday revealed the new logo for Palm Beach International Airport as it prepares to be renamed in honor of President Donald Trump.
The design, shared on social media, features a golden eagle with a shield of stars and stripes and olive branches, alongside the name “President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
“For the first time, I am extremely proud to share the OFFICIAL logo for the Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach, Florida,” Eric Trump wrote. “There is no person more deserving of this incredible honor than @realDonaldTrump! Congratulations Dad!”
“Looking forward to seeing flights landing at “DJT” very very soon!” he added.
Local officials also moved forward with the change. The Palm Beach County Commission approved the logo and a trademark agreement with the president’s intellectual property company in a 4-3 vote, clearing the way for the renaming.
The effort follows legislation signed in March by Gov. Ron DeSantis to rename the airport. The facility sits just a few miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and is a frequent destination for his travel.
The law is set to take effect July 1, though officials noted the airport’s three-letter code, PBI, will remain unchanged for now.
Separately, Brian Mast introduced legislation seeking to change the airport code to “DJT,” but the proposal has not advanced in Congress.
“Florida is honored to be home to this landmark tribute to President @realDonaldTrump,” the Florida GOP posted on X, sharing a photo of a sign at the airport stating, “Welcome to the new President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
“Forty years ago, Donald Trump came to Palm Beach County when it was a sleepy little beach town and he bought a defunct property that today serves as the winter White House as a symbol of the power of the United States, which has made Palm Beach one of the most desirable and important locations in the world,” Republican state Rep. John Snyder previously said in support of the name change.
