Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., irately stated that she would punch President Donald Trump in newly released footage from Jan. 6, 2021.
In a video aired by CNN on Thursday, Nancy Pelosi is seen speaking to her staffers as President Trump was hosting a rally at the Ellipse. Angrily, Pelosi warned her team that if Trump came into the Capitol, she would “punch him out.”
Gleefully, the California Democrat told those surrounding her that she had been hoping to assault President Trump. “I’ve been waiting for this,” she said. Additionally, Pelosi said she was going to “trespass {Trump} on the Capitol.”
Pelosi knew the ramifications of what would happen for striking President Trump, but she was content with the consequences. “I’m going to punch him out, and I’m going to go to jail, and I’m going to be happy,” she said.
Interestingly, according to The Hill, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of Nancy Pelosi, captured the footage aired on CNN Thursday night.
Coincidentally, the documented video was shown on the same day the Jan. 6 Select Committee voted unanimously to subpoena President Trump. The subpoena was voted upon after alleged new evidence supposedly validated the disproven story of Cassidy Hutchinson.
In response to the Select Committee’s vote, President Trump asked, “Why didn’t the Unselect Committee ask me to testify months ago?” Furthermore, “Why did they wait until the final moments of their last meeting?” Concluding his initial comments, Trump called the committee a “laughingstock around the world” that serves to “divide our country.”
Moreover, Trump challenged the committee to explain why “Crazy Nancy” ignored Trump’s recommendation for a National Guard presence to ensure peace. A memo from the Capital Police confirmed that Trump requested National Guard troops on Jan. 6, 2021, but that request was not honored.
According to Trump, the Select Committee is a “giant scam.”
