A Minnesota man has been arrested on a federal charge after authorities say he posted a threat on social media offering money to kill U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Tyler Maxon Avalos, 29, was taken into custody on Oct. 16 following a tip to the FBI about an alleged murder-for-hire solicitation earlier in the month, according to court documents cited in a report by the New York Post. Avalos is charged with interstate transmission of a threat to injure another person.

Investigators say Avalos posted an image of Bondi on social media with a target symbol on her forehead. The caption read: “WANTED: Pam Bondi. REWARD: 45,000 DEAD OR ALIVE (PREFERABLY DEAD).”

Below the photo, Avalos allegedly added, “Cough cough. When they don’t serve us, then what?”

Court filings describe Avalos as having anarchist connections. The FBI said his TikTok username was “Wacko,” which included what appeared to be an anarchy symbol. His profile also linked to “An Anarchist FAQ book,” according to the filings.

Avalos has a prior criminal record that includes stalking and domestic violence cases, authorities said. He was convicted of stalking in Minnesota in July 2022 and of domestic battery in Florida in 2016, according to records referenced in the charging documents.

Justice Department officials have not said whether additional charges may be filed. Avalos’ court appearance details were not immediately available.

The news comes after Bondi was previously the source of threats from a post on Truth Social that included President Donald Trump and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller in June. Carl D. Montague, 37, from Minnesota, was arrested and faces multiple charges.

The complaint stated: “Montague was upset with current politics and expressed his frustrations via Truth Social. Montague did not have a specific reason to direct his threat towards DCOS Miller and AG Bondi. Montague observed their names in prior threads and posts he was viewing and then submitted his post. Montague claimed he could not identify AG Bondi. Montague expressed remorse for his post.”
