Newly released FBI documents show that Covenant School shooter Audrey Hale included President Donald Trump on a “fantasy murder list” years before the deadly 2023 attack in Nashville.

Hale, who was born female but identified as male, killed three children and three adults in the March 2023 shooting.

The documents, released Monday and obtained by the Tennessee Star, revealed that the list was dated 2019-2020 and contained only four names. Two were redacted. Trump’s name appeared under a column of people Hale said the shooter would “like to kill.”

Hale also listed “Creswell Middle Prep,” a school the shooter once attended and allegedly considered attacking before ultimately choosing the Christian elementary school. In related journal entries, Hale expressed hostility toward family members.

“Eliminated from the world permanently. Our worlds would relieve of worry [and] stress from [redacted],” Hale wrote. “I sense it in his soul like I feel it in mine, full of hate, rage [and] desirable violent acts to certain people, because these people shouldn’t be living if they are not sacrificing for their loved ones, or kids, respect [and] love their wife/girlfriend, and provide for the f***** family. If someone can’t do that they are pretty g****** useless.”

The writings also appeared to criticize Hale’s father, claiming he spent time “watchin’ that politics bulls*** [with] those talking head ear infection creators” instead of being productive.

The release of the documents follows another recent school shooting in Minnesota, where a transgender shooter killed two children at a Catholic school and injured more than a dozen others.

In a Truth Social post, Trump expressed his grief and called for prayer. “I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!”

Trump also issued a proclamation from the White House. “President Donald J. Trump orders all flags of the United States shall be flown at half-staff at the White House and upon all public buildings and grounds as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on August 27 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.”
