First Lady Melania Trump shared her first statement on Wednesday following President Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.
Melania Trump focused on the importance of the “responsibility” Americans share in moving the nation forward in the days ahead.
“The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility,” she began in a post on social media. “We will safeguard the heart of our republic – freedom. I anticipate the citizens of our nation rejoining in commitment to each other and rising above ideology for the sake of individual liberty, economic prosperity, and security.”
She added, “American energy, skill, and initiative will bring together our best minds to propel our nation forward forevermore.”
Melania Trump was a quiet figure in the background for much of her husband’s campaign. She strongly supported her husband, however, and stood by his side with family members on the night of the election as they awaited the results and later celebrated the win.
The first lady also made a surprise appearance during Trump’s rally at the historic Madison Square Garden just days ahead of the election.
The first lady was also mentioned during Trump’s election victory speech as he noted her bestselling book.
As RSBN previously noted, Melania Trump’s memoir “Melania” reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, her X account announced.
Her new book took the top spot in the hardcover nonfiction category three weeks ahead of Election Day, just ahead of Lisa Marie Presley’s “From Here to the Great Unknown.”
The first lady offered a preview of her upcoming memoir in a popular video weeks ahead of the book’s release which promised to include new personal information on her life with President Donald Trump.
“My Story. My Perspective. The Truth,” the first lady shared alongside the video.
“Writing this memoir has been a deeply personal and reflective journey for me,” she stated in the video.
“As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts. I believe it is important to share my perspective, the truth,” Trump continued.
