Newly revealed footage obtained by The National Pulse reveals that ex-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he was not only unaware of the number of federal agents in the crowd on Jan. 6 but was not briefed beforehand.

In the two-minute clip, Sund states that he was told about the amount of federal presence within the Jan. 6 crowd days after the event had occurred.

To his surprise, however, he had been in contact with FBI Assistant Director Steve D’Antuono days before and nothing was mentioned.

“Within a few days of January 6th I had media reach out to me and say ‘Hey, you’re aware the FBI had undercovers in the crowd?’. I was like, ‘Oh no, they would have told me’. I had Steve D’Antuono, the head of the [FBI] Washington Field Office on a call the day before. Didn’t say anything to me about it… and now to see that, allegedly, according to the GAO report, they had 18 operatives in the crowd? That’s a lot of operatives,” Sund told Carlson

Not only did the FBI allegedly have 18 operatives in the crowd, but Sund reveals that the Department of Homeland Security has also come forward, stating that they allegedly had 20 operatives in the crowd as well.

He notes that it is a number of agents he has “never seen before” for an event.

“For an engagement in Washington D.C. down at the mall I might expect to see, you know, secret service may have some undercovers, FBI may have a couple, MPD might have a couple, but that’s a lot,” Sund told Tucker.

According to Sund, the “usual” protocol for any large event, like Jan. 6, would have been a joint intelligence briefing for all local chiefs.
