Multiple sources have reported that former Florida solicitor general Chris Kise has joined President Donald Trump’s legal team in the battle over the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago.

Two sources told NBC News that Kise has agreed to represent President Trump in court following negotiations with the president after the FBI stormed his private residence in Palm Beach, Florida, as previously reported by RSBN.

The outlet further reported that other attorneys declined requests to join Trump’s legal team as their firms wanted to avoid political implications. However, sources claimed that Kise decided to leave the firm Foley & Lardner to work for the president.

According to his biography, Kise served as Florida’s Solicitor General, counsellor to former Gov. Charlie Crist, general counsel to former Gov. Rick Scott’s transition team, as well as counsellor to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ transition team, and has successfully argued four cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Top lobbyist and fundraiser for Trump, Brian Ballard, told NBC News that Kise “is one of the finest lawyers I have ever met. His unique experience is perfectly suited to assist President Trump.”

Former Florida Sen. George LeMieux also spoke highly of Kise, saying, “Chris is a 360-degree lawyer: appellate, civil, criminal, state and federal — he can do it all.”

Furthermore, a source also confirmed the news to The Hill on Tuesday.

Kise, who will now join attorneys Evan Corcoran and Jim Trusty, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to advance discussion on Trump’s request for a special master, The Daily Wire reported.

RSBN previously reported that Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon is overseeing the request.

The 45th president is gathering an impressive team of experienced lawyers to represent him in court after vowing to take legal action following the FBI raid earlier this month.

“A major motion pertaining to the Fourth Amendment will soon be filed concerning the illegal Break-In of my home, Mar-a-Lago, right before the ever important Mid-Term Elections,” Trump announced on Truth Social, per RSBN.
