President Donald Trump released a statement on Monday evening revealing that his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida, had been raided and occupied by FBI agents.
“These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents,” Trump wrote in an official statement shared to his Save America PAC.
He continued:
“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
The raid likely comes as a shock to Trump’s supporters, who have been following the political “witch hunt” of the 45th president, which started in 2016 with the wild accusations of what Trump has called the “fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam” and “Impeachment Hoax #1” and “Impeachment Hoax #2.”
Trump said, “The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years…Hillary Clinton was allowed to delete and acid wash 33,000 E-mails AFTER they were subpoenaed by Congress. Absolutely nothing has happened to hold her accountable. She even took antique furniture, and other items from the White House.”
In true Trump fashion, however, he strongly added that he “stood up to America’s bureaucratic corruption, I restored power to the people, and truly delivered for our Country, like we have never seen before.”
He said that the establishment “hated” what he did. As his endorsees are soaring to victory across the country in the primary elections, heading into the November general races, Democrats are facing a red tsunami of America First candidates who are poised to take back the House and the Senate.
Trump, of course, has not officially announced if he will run for president in 2024 but added in his statement that the political persecution was an attempt to stop him and the Republican Party from regaining control.
“The lawlessness, political persecution, and Witch Hunt must be exposed and stopped,” Trump concluded. “I will continue to fight for the Great American People!”
