Former professional race car driver Danica Patrick will moderate a town hall with President Donald Trump’s vice presidential nominee JD Vance on Thursday.

The event is scheduled in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the Koury Convention Center, focusing on a key swing state just weeks ahead of Election Day.

“Kamala Harris has completely failed the people of North Carolina. Not only has she released historic inflation and a flood of criminal illegal immigrants onto them, but she completely left North Carolinians behind in the wake of devastation post-Hurricane Helene,” a Trump campaign announcement stated.

“Harris’ failures have placed a huge burden on taxpayers, and it shows how little she cares about the well-being of Tar Heel State families,” it continued.

The announcement also emphasized the dangerous impact of illegal immigration in the Tar Heel State.

“In 2023, a study showed that North Carolina is home to nearly 488,000 illegal immigrants and their 169,000 U.S.-born children, costing North Carolinians a staggering $3.14 billion annually. This breaks down to $779 per household, a crippling burden on hardworking North Carolinians,” the Trump campaign noted.

“Illegal immigrant households have added over 122,000 students to local schools, and the education costs alone amount to $1.47 billion. North Carolinians are also footing the bill for $461 million in police, legal, and correctional costs, along with healthcare and public assistance expenses,” the statement added.

Patrick recently endorsed Trump during a Las Vegas event last month and has since continued as a vocal part of his campaign.

“People didn’t like that. People looked at me like I was some radical right-wing MAGA. MAGA has got this awful connotation to so many people and you know what? All it did was light a fire.

I will not be judged to live in America, be a proud American, say ‘I love America’, and want to make America great again. I won’t be judged for it. Instead of quieting down, I am gonna get louder!” she said at the September event.

“I was raised in a middle-class family. My parents love their garden; they still do. But my parents instilled really good values in me. Instilled values to dream really big, to be honest, and to work hard,” she added.

Patrick took to Instagram to support Trump’s response to Hurricane Helene, stating, “Acting more like the president than the president.”
