“Pray for former President @realDonaldTrump. His enemies want to do everything they can to destroy him, to put him in jail, or to drag out this trial to prevent him from campaigning. I’m not telling you to vote for him—I’m asking you to pray for him,” stated Franklin Graham on X last week.
Regardless of your opinion of President Donald Trump, Graham is correct. Prayers are crucial at this critical time.
Even those uninterested in politics are catching on that President Trump is being targeted in every direction, with legal cases directly affecting his 2024 campaign.
Any viewer or listener of C-SPAN and their morning show, Washington Journal, knows this topic comes to life almost daily. Listeners point out that these legal cases conveniently occur during President Trump’s most consequential time, amidst his campaign trail.
President Trump is under attack from every direction and is still campaigning vigorously. His resiliency is evident, as he survived multiple investigations and two impeachment trials in his first term as commander-in-chief. This, however, does not negate the fact that President Trump is unfairly under assault and most earnestly needs the support of fellow Americans, notably Christians, in prayer.
Patriotic Christians know the importance of prayer. From George Washington to Franklin D. Roosevelt, prayer has been a focal point of the nation’s history. The Scriptures command prayer, including petitions for government leaders.
President Trump is human, like any other person, and faces much uncertainty that calls for the blessings and guidance of the Lord. People of faith can assist by petitioning the Almighty for President Trump’s enduring perseverance while also seeking heavenly guidance and comfort. Undoubtedly, he needs to feel comforted and guided in such unknown times.
Admittedly, millions of Americans, including Christians, are upset and disturbed by the number of attacks targeted at President Trump. To navigate these challenges, believers must exercise the traits of determination and steadfastness, trusting in Providence and relying on the petition of “Thy Will Be Done.”
Christians have the right to be troubled by the radicalism facing the country and the Western World. President Trump has become the leader of conservative principles and freedom, much like that of past President Ronald Reagan.
Radical progressivism is a direct threat to free democracy and nothing short of communism. History proves that when socialists and communists aim for victory, they imprison their enemies. How many Americans, especially those on the far left, are oblivious to these comparisons is staggering. All Americans should be terrified and aware of what is occurring nationwide.
If President Trump’s opponents want to defeat him, they should aim for this goal at the ballot box, not through trials and investigations.
The 2024 election is about more than electing President Trump or President Biden. It is confronting and defeating socialism and communism and reemphasizing patriotism, liberty, and freedom in the nation that has established the concept of independence worldwide.
Thanks be to God that Americans can vote and make their voices heard. Treasure freedom of speech, a right fought for by generations of patriots.
