The Trump administration continues to make headway on the issue of deportations, according to new data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
ICE has removed 356,389 individuals so far in fiscal year 2026 (FY26). The agency is also currently holding 65,765 people in custody. Of that number, 19,329 arrestees are convicted criminals, and 20,247 are facing pending criminal charges.
The fiscal year for ICE begins October 1 and ends September 30.
The data regarding ongoing immigration enforcement operations seems to have taken a backseat to daily news about the United States’ war with Iran, but these numbers represent a key cornerstone of the Trump administration’s promise to restore law and order to American streets.
According to Fox News’ Bill Melugin, the new data additionally “confirms border czar Tom Homa’s recent statements that June saw a record setting number of immigration arrests with 43,138 arrests, which is higher than January and February when the surge in Minnesota was in effect.”
Melugin was referring to remarks given by Homan outside the White House. “I’m sick and tired of hearing about how ‘the administration lost the guts with mass deportations,’” Homan fired off to reporters. “Do you know June, last month, ICE arrested more aliens than any month in the history of the agency?”
The border czar continued, “So, people say ICE is not serious about this job?”
Homan acknowledged a dip in arrests linked to the multi-week shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security earlier this year, spurred by blowback over high-profile enforcement operations in Minneapolis.
“Every question, everything they wanted ICE to change, and Border Patrol to change, [came] back to operations in Minneapolis,” he said. “So, you know, bottom line is, once we got the funding, numbers are going through the ceiling, like President Trump promised the American people.”
