President Donald Trump comes full circle with bravery by making a significant announcement, saying he will hold a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in October where his assassination attempt occurred.
The announcement was made during his live interview with Elon Musk on Monday night.
“We’re going back to Butler, and we’re going to go back in October, we’re all set up,” he said. “It’s a great area, these are incredible people.”
Trump did not disclose a specific date or location, though his upcoming rally in October will be symbolic and historic.
Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche said in a statement in a statement following Trump’s announcement that the community’s safety must be the priority, noting “we cannot afford to let politics blind mission as it did in July.”
“While this county has overwhelmingly welcomed and supported former President Trump, a return visit will place additional stress on law enforcement and the community,” Osche said. “I am angry. I am sad. I am disappointed. And I am waiting for the results of an investigation by qualified institutions instead of endless finger pointing. Now, we must rebuild trust among law enforcement agencies in order to feel safe again.”
Musk expressed his deep admiration for Trump as a fearless leader, he praised President Trump’s act of courage and resilience as a true patriot who loves America.
The announcement was one of many key comments shared throughout more than an hour of content between Trump and Musk.
The conversation also included a significant delay lasting more than 30 minutes. Musk later apologized, explaining the delay as a major cyberattack seeking to stop the interview.
