During a Georgia State Election Board meeting on Tuesday, the board voted to reprimand the county and monitor the 2024 election after the county was found in violation of state law while conducting a recount of the 2020 presidential election, according to the Georgia Recorder.

State officials could not determine the exact number of “invalid” ballots included in the 2020 presidential vote. This is of high interest because Joe Biden is the certified winner of the 2020 election in the state only by a narrow margin of around 12,000 votes, per Georgia Recorder.

During the investigation, duplicate ballots and recount procedures were evaluated.

Elections expert Joseph Rossi concluded, “It has now been factually proven that both the hand-audit, this is really important, and the certified machine count — yes, the certified count — have both been found to be in violation of Georgia election law.”

Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington shared the clip, stating, “VINDICATED.”

She also noted that the evidence was “enough to alter the outcome of the election.”

In addition, data Scientist John Basham posted a clip of the meeting to X, during which Georgia State Election Board Rep. Janice Johnston Johnson asked, “Does the investigation confirm that there are missing ballot images?”

The investigator on the stand answered, “Yes.”

She then asked, “Does Fulton County know why there are not 380,761 ballot images from election day?”

Investigators could not answer.

Basham wrote, “This Has Huge Implications In The #FaniWillis Case Against Trump & Associates!”

Harrington commented on this aspect of the meeting as well, stating, “Case closed.” She added, “No cover up operation can conceal the fact that Fulton County did not have the votes it claimed it had. The recount could not replicate the original results.”

The Georgia election interference case claims that the 45th president knowingly lied about election results and worked to violate voters’ rights by expressing his belief that the 2020 election was not secure. Newly emerged evidence seems to support Trump’s side of the argument.
