There is no doubt that Joe Biden’s America has taken a toll on everyone in 2023, but there have been a few bright spots throughout the year, despite the turmoil.

One of the biggest steps toward reestablishing transparency and trust in this country has been the House Oversight Committee’s commitment to providing accountability via dozens of hearings, investigative letters, and an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.

In a post shared on X, the Oversight Committee shared an extensive thread of their accomplishments.

To summarize, their most noted accomplishments in 2023, which started off with a Republican majority, include:

  • 82 hearings, including hearings on Twitter’s alleged censorship and suppression, IRS whistleblowers related to the Biden criminal investigation, and Biden’s ongoing southern border crisis,
  • 350 investigative letters, which included probes to the DHS, NARA (pertaining to Joe Biden’s alleged pseudonym emails), and 25 federal agencies in the course of multiple probes,
  • 22 bills were passed by the House or Committee,
  • In 2023, the House has been conducting an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden and his alleged foreign business schemes,
  • The House investigated Biden’s energy crisis, the southern border crisis, and provided oversight on the origins of the Covid-19 virus by investigating the HHS and NIH,
  • Oversight also focused on increasing U.S. cyber readiness and put “pressure” on the Biden administration to bring the federal workforce back to in-person work.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the chairman of the Oversight Committee, stated on X that he was “proud” of their accomplishments this year.

He continued, “When Democrats were in control, the Oversight Committee received an F by a nonpartisan group. Under Republicans, the Oversight Committee has returned to its mission of rooting out waste, fraud, & abuse in the federal government.”
