President Donald Trump is no stranger to facing down incredible odds in business, and in politics, he has continued to defy expectations.
There is no doubt that President Trump is the favorite to win the Iowa caucuses on Monday, Jan. 15, but that doesn’t mean that he is taking the Hawkeye State for granted.
Amid swirling blizzards and frozen roads in the great state of Iowa over the weekend, Trump resolutely remained committed to flying into the state and showing up in person for his voters, despite the hazardous weather conditions.
Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington recently explained on Real America’s Voice, “We’re pushing the gas pedal, like we said. We’re not resting at all, we’re not taking anything for granted and we’re going to show up in HUGE numbers…these other candidates have been exposed as career politicians, same old, same old.”
On Friday night, he announced via a special video posted on Truth Social that in order to keep Iowans safe amid the harsh weather, they would be rescheduling some of his weekend itinerary. Originally, the president was slated to deliver doubleheader speeches on both Saturday and Sunday across Iowa.
However, Trump still took to the skies to head to Iowa ahead of the caucuses, and on Saturday night, delivered an exclusive town hall in Des Moines before a Sunday appearance in Indianola.
During his town hall, President Trump strongly defended his record in the White House and foreshadowed what a 2025 Trump administration would look like, promising to bring down inflation, secure the border, and protect the border from the onslaught of global violence that has erupted amidst Joe Biden’s weak leadership.
“He’s the worst president in the history of our country,” Trump remarked.
In Iowa, Trump is the clear frontrunner, holding a historic lead over his political opponents in the caucuses. He said on Saturday night that the MAGA voter would come out to vote despite the frigid weather conditions, pointing to the “spirit” of their support even amid such “nasty” weather.
