A new era of investigations may be approaching as House Republicans on Thursday laid out a series of allegations directly linking Joe Biden to the shady business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden.

Per Fox News, Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, claimed on Thursday that Joe Biden was involved with Hunter Biden’s sketchy business dealings overseas. Per the outlet, Comer announced that Republicans would investigate whether Biden was “directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business deals” and if he is “compromised.”

According to Newsmax, Comer will likely chair the House Oversight Committee in 2023, while Fox reported that Jordan would probably chair the Judiciary Committee.

The news of an investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings comes after almost two years of promises from GOP candidates that, if control of the House of Representatives fell into the hands of Republicans, the Biden family would be heavily investigated.

Thanks to the victory of Congressman-elect Kevin Kiley of California, House Republicans officially seized a majority in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, paving the way for long-awaited digging into the Biden family’s behind-the-scenes business affairs.

Earlier this year, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., warned the White House not to destroy evidence related to the infamous Hunter Biden laptop, which contains detailed information about the junior Biden’s unsavory business plans, as well as other potentially illicit activities.

Fox News reported that Republicans are set to release a report about their findings on Joe Biden and Hunter Biden’s alleged fraud, abuse, money laundering, tax evasion, and many other possible crimes on Thursday.

Via Politico, Rep. Comer told the press, “We are going to make it very clear that this is now an investigation of President Biden.”
