President Donald Trump may not be attending the first Republican presidential primary debate on Wednesday, but Trump allies Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., will be ready to break down the high points of the evening in exclusive post-debate coverage on RSBN.

Reps. Greene and Gaetz will join RSBN’s Brian Glenn on Wednesday, August 23, at 11:00 p.m. ET, directly following the close of the primary debate, for a special post-debate discussion centered on Republican primary candidates’ performances.

President Trump confirmed on Monday that he would not be attending the primary debates ahead of the 2024 primary races next year, citing his overwhelming lead in the polls.

He explained, “The public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had, with Energy Independence, Strong Borders & Military, Biggest EVER Tax & Regulation Cuts, No Inflation, Strongest Economy in History, & much more. I WILL THEREFORE NOT BE DOING THE DEBATES!”

According to The Hill, Trump’s campaign surrogates will not be given access to the coveted media “spin room” in Milwaukee, per the hosting network for the event, Fox News.

However, according to rumors that were spurred by an original report from The New York Times, President Trump may be planning to release an interview with Tucker Carlson this week.

The Trump campaign has neither confirmed nor denied this rumor.

Wednesday night’s presidential primary debate will largely be an event where Republican contenders can duke it out to secure a spot as runner-up to President Trump, who seems poised to win the 2024 nomination next year in a landslide.

Watch Rep. Gaetz and Rep. Greene break down the first primary debate of the 2024 presidential election season and discuss its political impact on Wednesday, August 23, at 11:00 p.m. ET ONLY on RSBN.
