President Donald Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks in Durham, New Hampshire on Saturday, Dec. 16, in what may be the state’s biggest event yet in the 2024 election campaign.
Trump will speak to supporters in the historic town’s University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore Center Arena beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Doors for the event will open at 11:00 p.m. ET, and speakers will deliver remarks beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Although Durham is typically a reliably blue stronghold, President Trump has continued to gain ground against Joe Biden among key demographics—including younger voters.
Nationally, Trump leads Biden among voters 18 to 34, typically a liberal voting bloc, by 46 percent to 42 percent, a recent survey from NBC News of 1,000 Registered Voters found last month.
For New Hampshire’s primary, Trump was also the favorite among primary voters. A CNN New Hampshire poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center reported the president had support from 42 percent of “likely primary voters” in the first-in-the-nation primary state.
College students in the state can have a tremendous impact on the results of an election. Per the state’s same-day voter registration law, students can enroll to vote and cast ballots on Election Day.
