Supporters of President-elect Donald Trump’s Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth will take to the streets in Washington D.C. on Tuesday as he appears for his confirmation hearing in the Senate.

According to Breitbart, more than 500 Navy SEALS, veterans and other supporters of Hegseth will meet at the Vietnam Memorial Wall at 9 a.m. Eastern.

The outlet reported that the demonstrators will march with American flags to multiple war memorials, including the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the D.C. War Memorial and the World War II Memorial. Their last stop will be near Capitol Hill, where various military leaders and prominent supporters will deliver remarks.

Bill Brown, a Navy SEAL veteran who organizes the annual Seal Swim in New York City, co-organized the event with Robert Sweetman’s 62romeo organization.

“The SEAL March for Pete Hegseth and attendance at hearing demonstrates strong and unwavering support from the warrior class for Pete Hegseth as he moves forward with his confirmation to become Secretary of Defense,” organizers said in a press release for the event.

Additionally, the press release said, “These veterans and patriots will be there to show all Senate members that they stand firmly behind Pete, affirming their trust in his leadership and commitment to defending the values they’ve fought for.”

Notably, the press release also indicated that the march would be “a peaceful, respectful demonstration in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of nonviolent action.”

The outlet also reported that numerous SEALS and veterans would attend Hegseth’s confirmation hearing.

On Monday, 62Romeo held a Meet & Greet event in the Courtyard Washington. Attendees included Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-AL., Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas and multiple Navy SEAL veterans.

Last month, over 120 retired generals and admirals signed a letter in support of Hegseth’s confirmation.

Punchbowl News reported on Monday that Hegseth’s FBI background check was ‘unremarkable.” Sens. Roger Wicker, R-MS., and Jack Reed, D-R.I., of the Senate Armed Services Committee, were the only lawmaker’s privy to Hegseth’s FBI file, according to the outlet.

Trump’s other nominees up for confirmation this week include Former Rep. Doug Collins for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Former North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum for Secretary of the Interior, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for the Department of Homeland Security, Pam Bondi for Attorney General, Florida Senator Marco Rubio for Secretary of State, John Ratcliffe for CIA Director and at least six others.
