Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer, is reportedly set to testify before the House Oversight Committee this week in relation to their investigation into the Bidens’ alleged foreign business schemes, multiple sources have reported.
On Monday, the House Oversight Committee tweeted, “JOE WAS ON THE PHONE[.]”
They continued, “In at least a dozen instances, Hunter put his father, then VP, on speakerphone with his overseas business partners. In one instance with Biden associate Devon Archer, two Burisma executives explicitly asked Hunter, ‘Can you ring your dad?’ We look forward to speaking with Devon Archer about this developing story.”
The committee cited a story from the New York Post as the source for their comments, which revealed that Archer, a former friend and business partner to Hunter, was scheduled to testify about his role in Hunter and Joe’s foreign business dalliances.
Archer’s upcoming testimony in D.C. is hotly anticipated. Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., previously announced that the committee was entering the “deposition phase” of their investigation in early July, promising to depose Archer first.
Comer, who is also the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, subpoenaed Archer in June, noting, “Both information that the Committee has reviewed and public reporting indicates that Mr. Archer played a significant role in the Biden family’s business deals abroad, including but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine.”
According to Marco Polo, an organization that compiled an extensive review of the infamous Hunter Biden laptop, Archer is also “a convicted felon who was sentenced to a year in federal prison” and had previously been friends with Hunter since “the late 1990s.”
Per the NYP’s report, Hunter Biden would allegedly have his father, Joe Biden, on the phone during his business calls with overseas partners while the elder Biden was vice president during the Obama administration.
