In a shocking turn of events, Project Veritas CEO James O’Keefe will be exiting the company he founded after a highly public skirmish with the organization’s board. This news comes after O’Keefe was placed on paid leave in early February, as previously reported by RSBN.
In a video posted to social media, O’Keefe himself explained the reasons for his departure.
“There were tactical disagreements about the boldness of approaches to soliciting donations,” he said. “I was told, and I’m paraphrasing, by asking for ‘X’ dollars right now, you will prevent ‘10 X’ dollars down the road. That advice ran contrary to everything I know to be true in my 13 years of fundraising.”
“We measure our success in terms of what we produce,” O’Keefe continued. “Not just in terms of our wallets.”
According to the Daily Caller, the disagreements between Veritas leadership and O’Keefe began just days after the organization dropped the revealing bombshell videos that exposed evidence of big pharma corruption at the behest of Pfizer, one of the companies that developed a controversial Covid vaccine.
O’Keefe presented text messages that he said were from a board member of Project Veritas offering one of their journalists a raise if the organization were to be restructured without O’Keefe at the helm:
He additionally claimed that the Project Veritas board inappropriately discussed O’Keefe’s personal dating life in front of donors. He also said that there were complaints surrounding his use of corporate finances.
In February, proponents of the investigative work of Project Veritas showed their support for O’Keefe by tweeting the hashtag, “James IS Project Veritas.”
O’Keefe said in his video that after turmoil between himself and the board, it became clear to him that he would be removed from his position as CEO at Project Veritas. He became visibly emotional and continued, “So, our mission continues on – I’m not done. The mission will perhaps take on a new name…so with that, I’m going to collect my things, I’m going to load them into my car, and I hope to see some of you soon.”
