The Jan. 6 Committee appeared to contradict its own narrative Tuesday, revealing that President Donald J. Trump initially planned to follow up his remarks that day with a rally outside the U.S. Supreme Court building—not an “insurrection” at the Capitol.

The revelation, made during the committee’s seventh hearing, was shared on Twitter by Jack Posobiec.

“BREAKING: Jan 6 Committee accidentally presents evidence there was a 2nd stage at the Supreme Court that Trump wanted people to march to,” wrote Posobiec, the senior editor for Human Events. “The Supreme Court is directly behind the US Capitol from the Ellipse … This revelation debunks the entire ‘insurrection’ narrative.”

Posobiec then shared an exhibit displayed during the televised hearing—a map indicating that there was a rally scheduled to take place at the Supreme Court.

“Jan 6 accidentally proved themselves wrong,” he noted. “This is amazing.”

Additionally, in another tweet, Posobiec shared another exhibit that included text messages between MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and organizer of the “March for Trump” rally, Kylie Kremer, which seem to support the idea that there was a planned Supreme Court rally.

“This stays only between us, we are having a second stage at the Supreme Court after the ellipse,” Kremer wrote. “POTUS is going to have us march there/the Capitol.”

Noting that it was important that Lindell tell no one about the second stage “because people will try and set up another and Sabotage it,” Kremer added that Trump intended to call for the march “unexpectedly.”

Although Jan. 6 Committee member Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., shared these exhibits as evidence that Trump planned the march on the Capitol, Posobiec pointed out that they call into question the narrative that the president intended to incite an insurrection.

On the contrary, the indication there was a scheduled rally at the Supreme Court and that organizers were actively trying to prevent a clash would suggest he was planning for the opposite.

President Trump has repeatedly criticized the “unselect” committee’s investigation as another biased “witch hunt” against him, describing the hearings as: “No cross examination, no real Republicans, no lawyers, NO NOTHING.”

Adding that the committee’s narrative is “fake,” the president said, “Unselects should be forced to disband.”

And, if the committee’s own exhibits are to be believed, then perhaps he is right.
