Vice President Kamala Harris refused to respond to President Donald Trump’s Thursday challenge to hold three presidential debates.

Harris offered a brief response to NBC News in Wayne, Michigan, on Thursday evening following Trump’s Mar-a-Lago press conference confirming three dates in September.

“I am looking forward to debating Donald Trump and we have a date of September 10. I hear he’s finally committed to it and I’m looking forward to it,” Harris said.

She did not choose to answer a question about participating in the other two debates.

RSBN previously reported that Trump announced his agreement to the upcoming debates with the vice president.

“It is important to have debates. We have agreed with Fox on a date of September 4. We have agreed with NBC, fairly full agreement subject to them, on September 10. And we have agreed with ABC on September 25,” Trump said.

“We have spoken to the heads of the networks and it has been confirmed other than some very minor details,” he added.

Harris announced her run for president 19 days ago following President Joe Biden’s news that he was ending his reelection campaign. She has yet to hold a press conference.

Trump’s campaign has continued to attack Harris on her policies and public statements. The latest criticisms have also been featured on Trump’s Truth Social account in a video called “Criminals for Kamala” that highlights her record on crime.

The Harris campaign previously argued that Trump was backing out of a debate with Harris on ABC.

“Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out,” Harris campaign spokesman Michael Tyler said, in a statement on Saturday, according to NBC News.

“He needs to stop playing games and show up to the debate he already committed to on Sept 10. The Vice President will be there one way or the other to take the opportunity to speak to a prime time national audience,” Tyler said.
