Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Whatley released a statement Wednesday on Kamalanomics’ climbing prices in August’s Consumer Price Index.

The strong words noted major concerns related to growing costs for food, rent, electricity and car insurance under President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Thanks to Kamalanomics, prices keep climbing higher and higher – grocery prices are up 21.5%, rent is up 22.5%, electricity is up 30.7%, and car insurance is up 54.9% since casting the tie-breaking vote on $2.5 trillion worth of inflationary spending as Vice President,” Whatley wrote.

“Because of Harris’ vote, Americans continue to struggle with record high prices, but she has done nothing to fix the economic crisis she created. There is only one candidate that made America wealthy and prosperous, and that candidate is President Donald J. Trump,” he added.

The numbers are especially concerning as Harris has vowed to double down on the left’s policies that have sent prices soaring, according to a separate RNC report.

The statement revealed that the latest Consumer Price Index data shows year-over-year inflation increased in August by 2.5 percent, far higher than when Harris and Biden took office.

“For nearly every month of the Harris-Biden administration, inflation has been well above the Fed’s average target of 2 percent,” the statement noted.

“Core consumer prices – stripping out food and energy – rose by 3.2 percent. Prices have risen by 20.3 percent since Harris and Biden took office – with Americans still reeling from the lasting effects of inflation. On a year-over-year basis, inflation under Harris and Biden has averaged 5.2 percent – nearly three times as high as the average inflation under President Trump,” it continued.

Whatley also shared the concerns during a Wednesday interview on Fox Business that pointed out ABC’s debate moderators only asked Harris one question about the economy, with the vice president failing to provide a direct response.

RNC co-chair Lara Trump added during a Fox News interview with Larua Ingraham on Wednesday that Harris “didn’t say a single thing that convinced anybody in this country that she deserves their vote, and they are having a big problem with that right now.”
