Artist Kanye West and conservative activist Candace Owens sent shockwaves across social media this week at West’s latest “Yeezy” fashion show in Paris for donning coordinating “White Lives Matter” shirts.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, West took to Instagram following the show, posting and then deleting a message that read: “EVERYONE KNOWS THAT BLACK LIVES MATTER WAS A SCAM NOW ITS OVER YOU’RE WELCOME [sic].”

Even more surprising to many among the public was West’s amiable relationship with Candace Owens, who has been an outspoken critic of leftist policies on Daily Wire’s “The Candace Owens Show.”

Owens has previously defended West on her show in his very public and ongoing drama with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

Both West and Owens have criticized the Democrat Party, with Owens even authoring a book called “Blackout: How Black American can make its second escape from the Democrat Plantation.” Owens is the founder of the “BLEXIT Foundation,” which seeks to change the “narrative that surrounds America’s minority communities – with a particular focus on African-Americans.”

Previously, West was a supporter of President Donald Trump for a period and made headlines for visiting then-President-Elect Trump in 2016 at Trump Tower. West was often seen wearing a red MAGA baseball cap post-2016.

In 2020, West expressed his distaste for Joe Biden as a presidential candidate. Per Fox News, West, in a Forbes interview, slammed the Democrat Party and Biden’s offensive comments.

“I was threatened as a black man into the Democratic party. And that’s what the Democrats are doing, emotionally, to my people. Threatening them to the point where this white man can tell a black man if you don’t vote for me, you’re not black.”

West was referring to Biden’s infamous and inflammatory comments during his 2020 presidential campaign to radio host Charlamagne Tha God. Per CNBC, Biden told the radio host, “You ain’t black,” if he couldn’t decide on who to vote for.
