GOP gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake is not backing down one inch in her fight to restore election integrity in the state of Arizona. On Wednesday, Lake filed an appeal on the previous ruling from Judge Thompson that struck down her lawsuit against then-Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Maricopa County, per Fox News.

According to the outlet, Lake also filed a motion to send the appeal to the Arizona State Supreme Court, but that request was denied.

In December, Judge Thompson ruled that Lake didn’t have enough evidence to support her claims that the disastrous Maricopa County election processes in November 2022 were the byproduct of “intentional” misconduct,” via the Washington Examiner.

Lake, however, has not given up her fight to prove that widespread problems that were overseen by her opponent, Katie Hobbs, were allegedly malicious.

“My court case will be going before the Appeals Court prior to the Arizona Supreme Court because it’s already been scheduled for review,” Lake explained on Twitter. “This decision was done without prejudice & I am confident the case will end up in their hands eventually. We’re moving forward.”

On Jan. 2, Katie Hobbs was installed as the next governor of Arizona, but Lake has been staunchly undeterred by the transfer of power in State 48. “The Uniparty stole the Arizona Election—D’s & R’s,” she wrote. “The political elite despise We The People and can’t stand the fact that they work FOR us. They want us to give up this most important fight and go back to sleep. WE WON’T QUIT.”

In late December, Lake did score a telling victory against Hobbs. According to a report from the Washington Examiner, Lake’s Democrat opponent had requested that Judge Thompson sanction Lake and her team for continuing to make accusations against Maricopa County – but Thompson declined, noting that Lake’s claims surrounding the election in the embattled county were not “groundless.”
