Kari Lake called for Arizonans to stand strong and use their voices on Tuesday amid voting chaos in Maricopa County. “No matter what you do today, do not sacrifice your vote,” she wrote on Twitter. “The stakes are just too high, Arizona. I love you all. Let’s win this thing.”
She added to the press this morning regarding the reports of voting machine problems, “This is incompetency. I hope it’s not malice, but we’re going to fix it. We’re going to win and when we win there’s going to be a come to Jesus for elections in Arizona.”
Maricopa County, Arizona, has been rife with reports of vote tabulation and voting machine problems throughout the day, drawing massive criticism from constituents and Americans across the nation.
“So, the Dem nominee for governor (who refused to debate her opponent) is the current Secretary of State – in charge of running this election – and now…there are problems?” wrote Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Twitter on Tuesday.
Cruz was referencing Lake’s Democrat challenger, Katie Hobbs, who is also the Arizona secretary of state.
Donald Trump Jr. chimed in on Twitter with his own encouragement for Arizonans: “To all my Arizona friends: Your vote could be a difference-maker. Get to the polls. Once you’re there, stay in line no matter what, and cast your ballot. This is going to be a great day! Do your part and let’s win!”
The overall message from conservative leaders seems clear: stay in line, cast your ballots, and don’t go home early.
