Kari Lake slams duplicity in Arizona elections: ‘They all should have recused themselves’

Arizona GOP nominee for governor, Kari Lake, slammed the unethical behavior of anti-MAGA election officials in the Grand Canyon State in a recent interview with Joe Pags, speaking to the disastrously-run 2022 midterms.

“It is completely outrageous,” she said. “They all should have recused themselves if they had that much hatred for me as a candidate, who had created a beautiful movement here in Arizona of We the People. They should have recused themselves from this election.”

Lake’s frustration with the duplicity of election officials is two-fold. Per RSBN, Maricopa County Chairman Bill Gates and Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer had a direct hand in forming an anti-MAGA PAC in 2021. Despite their political bias, they oversaw the embarrassingly chaotic election processes in Maricopa County in November.

According to The Epoch Times, Maricopa County voted to certify their election results this week, despite numerous reports and citizen testimony vouching for the inoperability of voting machines, vote tabulators, and hours-long voting lines on Election Day.

Lake, notably, has refused to concede amid unaddressed issues of voter disenfranchisement.

Further, Lake’s Democrat opponent, Katie Hobbs, is also the acting Arizona secretary of state. Despite the conflict of interest in overseeing an election where she herself was also running for governor, Hobbs refused to recuse herself, as reported by RSBN.  

According to The Gateway Pundit, Maricopa County had announced on Election Day that more than 540,000 voters visited one of 223 vote centers in their county, and yet, their final Election Day vote totals only equal an alleged 248,070 ballots cast.

The county has attempted to clear the air on this discrepancy, with the outlet reporting on Wednesday that Maricopa had now claimed that their original number of 540,000 voters encapsulated Election Day voters and Election Day drop-offs.

A report from the Western Journal further highlighted discrepancies in the election processes of Arizona, pointing out that there was an increase in Republican voter turnout and a simultaneous decrease in Democrat voter turnout – to the tune of 75.4 percent turnout for the GOP to Democrats’ 68.5 percent.

Despite low Democrat turnout and high Republican turnout, Katie Hobbs allegedly “won” her race against Kari Lake.

“God did not put us in this fight because we are weak,” Lake told Pags during her interview. “We’re living in difficult times and he put just the right people here for this moment.”
