Arizona Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs reportedly threatened serious legal action if the Mohave County Board of Supervisors didn’t certify the results of their county’s election, according to reports.
Per Just the News, Hobbs, who claims to have won the gubernatorial election in Arizona despite widespread reports of voter disenfranchisement and tabulation problems, threatened Mohave County election officials with criminal referral for a felony.
Ron Gould, the chairman of the board, had stated previously that he had “no choice but to vote ‘Aye’ or I will be arrested and charged with a felony,” as reported by RSBN.
“Katie Says, ‘Put Katie into power or go to jail?’” Kari Lake wrote on Twitter in response to the report. Lake is Hobbs’ Republican gubernatorial opponent.
Meanwhile, Maricopa County voted to certify their election results this week, leaving disenfranchised Arizona voters high and dry on the issue of election integrity.
Further, Hobbs filed charges this week against Cochise County for refusing to certify their election results amid rampant reports of election irregularities and problems via RSBN.
“Thank you for holding the line, Cochise County,” the Kari Lake War Room tweeted on Wednesday. “Thank you for fighting for those that Maricopa County disenfranchised.”
“Good old freakin’ SOLID Cochise county,” state Sen. Wendy Rogers, R-Ariz., added on Thursday.
Secretary Hobbs, however, is alleging that Cochise County has a “statutory duty to certify the results of the 2022 General Election by today [Nov. 28].”
Kari Lake War Room replied, “This is an egregious abuse of power, but when has that ever stopped you before?”
As reported by Just the News, Arizona state Rep. Jake Hoffman (R) told the outlet, “Katie Hobbs’ threats directed at the Mohave County Supervisors is a gross abuse of power and highlight the dangerous conflict of interest that exists in allowing her to manage her own election.”
Lake stated on Twitter on Thursday that she has a legal team “working on our main lawsuit which will be filed later this month,” pertaining to the election irregularities in the 2022 midterm elections.
