Kari Lake, the Republican Trump-endorsed candidate for governor in Arizona, unflinchingly voiced her support for the 45th president in a tweet on Thursday.
Lake asserted that the “GOP was on Life Support before this man came down a golden elevator to save it in 2015.” She added, “Fast forward to 2022 – citizens from every corner of our republic have stepped up to join him. I am honored to count myself among them. I hope you are too.”
“Let’s Make America Great Again,” she continued.
Lake, whose gubernatorial primary election will occur in August, has emerged as the front runner in the GOP race to secure the nomination.
In an April survey, Lake was “out-polling” both Republican and Democrat gubernatorial candidates, and her momentum has only increased. Her strong stance on border policies and individual liberty has earned her the widespread support of many conservative Arizonans ahead of the primary election.
In April, Lake began taking steps toward securing election integrity in Arizona ahead of her primary election by filing a preliminary injunction with the federal court to ban the use of electronic voting machines in the Grand Canyon State.
The injunction also lists the Republican candidate for secretary of state, Mark Finchem, alongside Lake. The defendants are Lake’s Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs and Pima County’s and Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors.
It is important to note that the 2020 Maricopa County and Pima County have been rampant with reports of voter fraud and irregularities.
Kari Lake has been a vocal supporter of election integrity throughout her gubernatorial campaign, even calling for the decertification of the 2020 presidential election results on Twitter. “Decertify Wisconsin now. And Arizona,” she posted.
Additionally, President Trump himself held a fundraiser for Lake in April at his famed Mar-a-Lago estate, attended by many conservative leaders like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell. “Kari Lake will be the greatest governor in our country’s history,” Trump told the crowd.
