The Trump administration continued the trend of highlighting Kid Rock in promotional materials, this time by inviting him to ride an Apache helicopter and meet with U.S. troops.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on X, “Joined my friend @KidRock — and some of our great @USArmy Apache pilots — for a ride this morning. (More to come on that!) Kid Rock is a patriot and huge supporter of our troops. The War Department is wasting no time celebrating America’s 250th — home of the free because of the brave.”

Hegseth additionally shared four photos of Kid Rock’s adventure with the Apache pilots and U.S. troops. One of the photos even showed Kid Rock apparently addressing U.S. servicemembers in the Pentagon briefing room.

This appearance comes just weeks after the U.S. Army lifted the suspension of an aircrew involved in a viral incident linked to Kid Rock. As reported by RSBN, a helicopter was seen on video near the home of Kid Rock, drawing questions about what the military aircraft was doing at the rocker’s home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Secretary Hegseth later announced that the pilots involved, who had been suspended following the incident, had been returned to duty without punishment or investigation.

Kid Rock has also been spotted in the Oval Office during President Trump’s second term. Last year, he joined the president for the signing of an executive order aimed at cracking down on ticket scalping.

Kid Rock is famously good friends with President Donald Trump. He is also a well-known supporter of the U.S. military. Currently, Kid Rock is about to launch the “Freedom 250 Tour,” an ode to America’s upcoming 250th birthday in July. Headliners include Jon Pardi, Brantley Gilbert, and the Big & Rich.

The rocker’s appearance with Trump administration officials this week is hardly the first time he’s been involved in politics. Just a few months ago, Kid Rock appeared with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a “Make America Healthy Again” promotional video titled “Rock Out Work Out.”

Kid Rock also headlined the Turning Point USA All-American Halftime Show this year – the organization’s alternate programming to the mainstream Super Bowl Halftime Show.
