Since Arizona failed to deliver results on election night, numerous voters have come forward citing serious issues with how the state handled the elections.
Following Monday reports that Democrat Katie Hobbs was projected to win the state’s gubernatorial race nearly one week after a questionable election night, voters have shared first-hand experiences with Arizona’s troublesome election process.
One voter’s testimony posted by Kari Lake on Twitter revealed serious issues with machines used on Election Day that most likely “disenfranchised and turned away a lot of people.”
“As we were waiting in line, we were observing people running their ballots into the scanning machine and we noticed that about two out of every three people that tried to scan their ballots – just wouldn’t scan their ballot,” the Arizona voter said.
“They would try a couple of times and it wouldn’t scan, and were forced to put their ballots in drawer three,” which is a ballot box that is “retrieved by bipartisan workers at the end of the evening and brought to our central tabulators,” Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer said, per FOX 10.
“I have no doubt that these issues disenfranchised and turned away a lot of people,” the voter added.
Lake’s campaign reacted to the testimony, citing Article 2, Section 21 of Arizona’s Constitution, “All elections shall be free and equal, and no power, civil or military, shall at any time interfere to prevent the free exercise of the right of suffrage.”
The Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate encouraged the “thousands” of Maricopa County voters that experienced issues to come forward and file their complaints, after an estimated 20 to 30 percent of their voting machines glitched or failed on Election Day, RSBN reported.
“Are you one of the thousands of Maricopa County voters that experienced serious issues on Election Day? Our attorneys want to hear from you! Visit: https://saveaznow.com,” Lake tweeted.
Lake has vowed to push back against the state’s election results, reassuring American voters that she is “still in the fight,” according to RSBN.
“Hey Arizona, Kari Lake here. I wanted to reach out to you to let you know that I am still in this fight with you. For two years, I’ve been sounding the alarm about our broken election system here in Arizona, and this past week has confirmed everything I’ve been saying,” Lake said in a video posted on Twitter.
Calling out the state’s “broken election system,” Lake said:
“When we called for Katie Hobbs to recuse herself over a year ago, they ridiculed us. It turns out, we were right. The fox was guarding the hen house, and because of that, voters have been disenfranchised. When we raised concerns and I filed a lawsuit months ago to get rid of the electronic voting machines – they said we were crazy. Well, it turns out we were right. On election day, nearly half of all polling stations had problems with tabulating machines and printers. Malfunctioning tabulation machines forced voters to wait in line for hours to excerice their scared right to vote.
