RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is set to step down from her position on Friday, March 8, and it could signal the beginning of a new era for the GOP.

As reported by the Associated Press, McDaniel announced her resignation in late February, indicating that she would step down at a Spring Training event in Houston on March 8, adding that this would allow “our nominee to select a Chair of their choosing.”

She continued, “The RNC has historically undergone change once we have a nominee and it has always been my intention to honor that tradition.”

With Trump as the prospective Republican presidential nominee, the ball is now firmly in his court, and he has already made his endorsements regarding RNC leadership.

The 45th president has previously endorsed North Carolina GOP Chairman Michael Whatley for RNC Chair. He has also endorsed his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, for co-chair, and his Senior Advisor Chris LaCivita, for COO.

Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Trump was set to bring a tighter focus to the RNC on Friday during the Houston meeting, where Whatley, Ms. Trump, and LaCivita will likely coast to receiving enough votes to win those endorsed positions, effectively marking a turning point for the Republican National Committee.

Lara Trump has previously vowed that as co-chair, she would work to ensure that “every penny” of the RNC’s money would be utilized to fight for President Trump’s victory in November 2024.

Whatley has also been elevated by Trump as someone who will “protect the vote,” lauding the GOP chairman’s decision to stop election fraud in 2020 during the presidential election in North Carolina.

LaCivita, a longtime advisor to the president, is a former Marine who is likely to bring a no-nonsense attitude to the position of RNC COO.

Axios reported that those who have worked closely with LaCivita described him as a “bulldog…easy to work with – unless you’re bullsh*tting.”

It appears that the entire apparatus of the RNC is about to be turned on its head as America First leaders are set to transform the GOP into a fighting machine likely to be focused on efficient budgeting, election security, and voter turnout.
