2023 is swiftly coming to a close, and President Donald Trump has taken the political scene by storm once again, steadily trouncing his GOP rivals and edging past Joe Biden in general election polling.
A new survey from mainstream outlet NBC News/Public Opinion Strategies has shown that the 45th president has a solid and steady lead over Joe Biden in the 2024 general election, with Trump taking the lead in their poll for the first time in NBC history.
According to their data, Trump has trounced Biden with 46 percent of national support against Biden’s 44 percent. Importantly, Trump also leads by 11 points among Independents and “persuadable” voters.
Profound concern and disillusionment regarding the state of the country permeated the NBC poll, with 73 percent of Americans agreeing that the United States “is off on the wrong track.”
Another 19 percent of Americans did not feel “confident that life for our children’s generation will be better than it has been for us.” They indicated in their survey that this was the lowest amount of confidence in more than three decades.
NBC’s mainstream poll strongly indicates that the core of the country is leaning toward Trump ahead of the 2024 general election. Other pollsters have powerfully reiterated the 45th president’s dominant position heading into next year’s heated battle for the White House.
According to McLaughlin & Associates, Trump has a six-point lead over Biden in the general election, and even in a three-way split between Trump, Biden, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the 45th president still netted a four-point lead.
In a head-to-head matchup against Kamala Harris, their data found that Trump held an 11-point lead.
Via Emerson College, Trump has a steady four-point lead over Biden in a general election. Interestingly, Trump’s lead expanded to six points when Kennedy was added to the mix.
