New York’s new socialist Democrat Mayor Zohran Mamdani is being blasted for his lack of leadership throughout the city’s winter storms after another homeless person was found dead.

According to the New York Post, the Big Apple’s homeless death toll reached 18 over the weekend, after a security worker found an 86-year-old homeless man lying frozen on the street.

Former Mayor Eric Adams, D, has been following the situation. He posted to X on Jan. 29 that he “begged” Mamdani to keep his previous homeless policy running to protect homeless residents from freezing to death. “He didn’t listen.”

On Feb. 2, Adams continued to count the death toll, simply writing: 16.

America’s Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, R, who led New York City after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, also posted about the state of the city as residents complained and shared images and videos of snow-removal delays and stalled trash pickup, leading to walls of trash lining New York streets.

“I was criticized for taking the homeless off the streets during storms, but at least they were alive to complain,” he wrote, after pointing out, “As Mayor, New Yorkers expect you to clean up and plow the streets following a snowstorm. It’s a basic requirement of the mayor. No excuses.”

Former Mayor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, R, also blasted Mamdani in an appearance on Overtime with Bill Maher, stating, “He seemed to move a bunch of the snow but couldn’t figure out how to do anything else. He didn’t pick up the garbage.” He noted that his children live in the city and he personally witnessed that “The garbage is piled up everywhere.”

Christie corrected himself, noting that there is no garbage, snow, or even ice on the sidewalk outside of the Mayor’s mansion. He called it “socialist-motialist” behavior.

While Christie mocked the situation,  Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y.,  is taking it more seriously. On Tuesday night, she decried Mamdani’s “inexcusable” leadership on X. She called the lack of homeless care “abysmal and tragically deadly.”

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., also ripped Mamdani’s leadership. According to Fox News, he blasted Democrats for playing politics with American lives. “In the middle of a storm that in New York City alone — you want to see what socialism gets you — people now have frozen to death under the leadership of the socialist Mamdani. That’s what Democrat leadership gets you.”
