New York City’s self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, has created yet another taxpayer-funded political office, sparking outrage from conservatives.

The new LGBTQI+ Office was created by the mayor on Friday. He appointed a man who identifies as a woman named Taylor Brown to head the office. According to the NYC Mayor’s Office, Brown served as Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York State Attorney General and was endorsed by controversial New York Attorney General Letitia James, who was indicted for bank fraud last fall, per RSBN.

RSBN previously reported that Mamdani’s leadership decisions have already sparked criticism after record numbers of homeless people froze to death in the streets during winter storms, and snow piled up with little to no street maintenance, delaying trash pickup for weeks.

Now this latest move has further infuriated Americans who believe in fiscal responsibility and the protection of biological women’s rights.

Chief Content Officer at Right Line News and Florida Voice News, Eric Daugherty slammed the creation of the new LGBTQI+ Office in a post on X, stating, “This is what he prioritizes, NYC! You voted for this. You’re screwed.”

Mario Nawfal sarcastically wrote, “Because what New York really needs right now is another taxpayer-funded office to celebrate pronouns while crime’s through the roof and subways are a war zone.”

USA News declared, “Zohran Mamdani has been in office for 71 days. Instead of fixing problems, he is opening up a new LGBTQ department and putting a trans dude in charge.”

Israeli-American author M.A. Rothman pointed out the hypocrisy of the office being created by a Muslim. “Mamdani’s smiling because he knows what would happen to this dude in any Muslim-controlled state,” he said, asking why the New York City government believes it should be involved in the sexual preferences of others.

According to Human Rights Watch, the majority of nations that have criminalized LGBT relationships are in Muslim-controlled areas of the Middle East and Northern Africa, where prison sentences and even execution are common punishments for LGBT behavior.

Conservatives have already witnessed multiple contradictions from Mamdani, who campaigned on government-controlled public transportation, grocery stores, and housing, all of which were promised on the premise that he would “tax the rich.” Yet his actions have only added more costly services for all taxpayers at present, with no end to the spending and hypocrisy in sight.
