Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) announced that she will introduce a bill declaring “ANTIFA a domestic terrorist organization.” She posted about the decision on Twitter and promoted her interview with Tucker Carlson regarding the subject on Monday.

“I think honestly, America’s sick and tired of ANTIFA,” she stated. “Just from 2020, they’re responsible for nearly 2 billion dollars in damage and many people dead.”

According to the Post Millennial, MTG’s response was due to a “night of rage” instigated by ANTIFA forces after a gunman was shot and killed by Atlanta police. Clashes between ANTIFA and law enforcement have been recorded throughout the nation.

The Washington Examiner reported on a Portland incident where ANTIFA members set fire to the city’s federal courthouse in 2021, and in 2022, per the Gateway Pundit, Los Angeles police were attacked when ANTIFA turned violent at a pro-choice protest and destroyed a DHS car.

Footage of the most recent events was captured by local news source 11 Alive and displayed violence and destruction in Atlanta. Now, MTG has demanded action against ANTIFA. “We need to investigate exactly who they are, who funds them, and then we need to make sure that whenever they come out and erupt in violence — attacking police officers and attacking businesses and cities, like my city, Atlanta, in Georgia — we need to make sure that they’re arrested and charged with domestic terrorism charges just like the GBI did this past weekend.”

MTG accused the Democrats of supporting the organization. “ANTIFA is the ground troops of the Democrat Party.” She added, “They breed them, they raise them, and then they bail them out of jail when they get arrested. But they never get prosecuted.”

Her proposed legislation is yet to be released but expected to be revealed soon.
