Pennsylvania is home to one of the most competitive races for the U.S. Senate, with Trump-endorsed candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz fighting to earn a spot in Congress. Fortunately, Oz and Doug Mastriano, the Trump-backed Republican candidate for the state’s governorship, are leading their Democrat challengers among unaffiliated voters.

According to a Rasmussen Reports poll of 972 Pennsylvania likely voters conducted Oct. 19-20, Oz is currently leading Democrat challenger Lt. Gov. John Fetterman among unaffiliated voters, 35-34 percent. Most Republicans are also rallying behind Oz, with 76 percent of GOP voters voicing support for the candidate.

RealClearPolitics Nov. 8 projections show Republicans holding Pennsylvania’s Senate seat with Oz cruising to victory.

Mastriano also holds a three-point advantage, leading Democrat Attorney General Josh Shapiro 33-30 percent among unaffiliated voters, per the poll.

Pennsylvania’s election could favor Republicans who have campaigned on remedying the economy, a top issue for voters.

Rasmussen’s poll shows that 88 percent of voters say inflation is an important issue in this year’s election cycle. Prices at the gas pump will also be a key issue at the polls, with 80 percent of voters indicating it’s an important issue for the state, according to the pollster.

Voters will be able to hear from Oz and Mastriano when they join President Donald Trump for his Save America rally at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, as reported by RSBN.

Oz and Mastriano are among the guest speakers slated to deliver remarks at 4:00 p.m. ET before President Trump takes the stage at 7:00 p.m.
