First Lady Melania Trump appeared at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Wednesday to ring the opening bell and celebrate the release of the new film “Melania,” which will document her life in the days leading up to President Trump’s second-term inauguration.

“It’s an honor to be on Wall Street at the New York Stock Exchange just two days before the global launch of my new film ‘Melania.’ Thank you for having me today,” the first lady said.

Mrs. Trump discussed the importance of film in our culture and the potential impact of effective storytelling.

“Superior storytelling drives culture, and, in turn, moves markets. In the near future, cultural influence will matter as much as economic power,” Mrs. Trump said. “Our ability to tell our stories and emotionally connect with audiences is paramount. People long to be moved. We need stories that inspire dreams, offer hope, tales of redemption, sad stories, loves stories, and funny stories. We want to feel human.”

The documentary will provide audiences with an unprecedented glimpse into the life of a First Lady as she approaches her return to office. Mrs. Trump discussed the unique perspective of her upcoming film and her hope that it would have a meaningful impact on viewers.

“My new film, ‘Melania,’ provides a window into an important period for America. For the first time in history, people will witness the 20 days leading up to the inauguration through the eyes of an incoming first lady,” Mrs. Trump said. “Visual storytelling and beautiful music create memories for a lifetime. What do you remember when you hear the Rolling Stones? Michael Jackson? Films bring families and friends together, sitting side by side, sharing a collective moment. In doing so, they will not simply watch my film. They will participate in a great American tradition and become part of our nation’s history. Thank you for joining me on this historic morning, and enjoy the film.”

New York Stock Exchange President Lynn Martin presented Mrs. Trump with the traditional medallion for bell ringers, symbolizing access to free markets. As an additional honor, Mrs. Trump was presented with an engraved plate commemorating her appearance on Wall Street and congratulating her on the upcoming film launch.
