First Lady Melania Trump will be offering new Christmas-themed ornaments, along with NFT counterparts, to benefit foster kids. According to a report from Fox News Digital, some of the proceeds will be given to “Fostering the Future,” a derivative of Mrs. Trump’s “Be Best” initiative that she kickstarted while she was in the White House.

The first lady additionally shared a sneak peek into the designs on her Twitter page, titling the collection, “The Christmas Star.”

Per Fox News, the ornaments will be handcrafted, feature an NFT counterpart that ranges from $35 to $45 each, and include Mrs. Trump’s engraved signature.

This is not Melania Trump’s first venture into the NFT market. In May, she dreamed up a new NFT to support the foster care community during national foster care month, as previously reported by RSBN.

NFTs are “Non Fungible Tokens” based in unique blockchain technology. Their popularity has skyrocketed as the concept of cryptocurrencies and digital marketplaces have continued to evolve and become more sophisticated.

Last week, the first lady penned a moving opinion piece for Fox News focusing on the importance of education for “innovation and individual exceptionalism” within the United States. She has consistently demonstrated a personal interest in children’s education and the foster care system both in and out of the White House.

According to a report from BPR, when someone has purchased Mrs. Trump’s ornaments and corresponding NFTs, they are able to either save the art or resell it. She told Fox News  Digital, “My hope is for families across the world to use the Christmas Star ornament to inspire their loved ones with positive purpose, aspirations and values as we enter the new year.”

She added, “This holiday season, remember to aim high to reach your full potential.”
