16 “Trump electors” are facing felony charges in a case brought by Michigan’s Democrat Attorney General, Dana Nessel, per The Gateway Pundit.
The charges claim they conspired in a “false election scheme” in the 2020 presidential election.
The Gateway Pundit noted that the accused are facing multiple felony counts of conspiracy and forgery, most of which hold a 14-year penalty for each count.
Concerns regarding election integrity continue to swirl around the 2020 election and even the 2022 midterms. Just last month, arraignments were issued to individuals connected to a “wide-ranging signature fraud scandal” that bumped multiple Republican candidates from Michigan’s gubernatorial race, according to The Detroit News.
In addition, multiple “Election Fraud Cases” have been recorded in Michigan by the Heritage Foundation.
Local News Channel 3 reported that multiple 2020 election fraud cases brought charges regarding absentee ballots. At the time, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said, “Our election system is secure,” and stated that election fraud only occurs in “rare circumstances.”
Lawyer and political commentator Rogan O’Handley criticized the new felony charges in the case of the 16 electors on Twitter, stating, “Michigan AG charges 16 Trump electors w/felonies for sending alternate electors.”
He added, “Here’s video of a van dropping off 100s of thousands of ballots around 3 AM in Detroit w/o any GOP monitors. Where are the felonies for these election stealers?”
O’Handley then listed the 16 electors and declared, “Democrats are trying to criminalize the act of contesting rigged elections. It WON’T work.”
