This weekend, President Trump made history in New Jersey when he drew a crowd of 100,000 people in Wildwood, signaling massive electoral strength in even one of the most traditionally “blue states” of America.
In honor of Mother’s Day weekend, President Trump wished the mothers of the United States well, commemorating the special Sunday by also highlighting his lovely wife, First Lady Melania Trump.
“I also want to say HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the moms in America,” Trump said to a cheering crowd. “Especially to my wife, Melania!”
The president shares a son, Barron Trump, with the First Lady. Barron is the youngest son of President Trump and is slated to graduate from high school in May.
Recently, First Lady Melania launched a special line of jewelry that celebrated the special role of mothers in the United States, offering a gold-glinting necklace that can be personalized with the names of family members.
She wrote in a statement, “As mothers, we are inclined to honor our mothers on Mother’s Day, but we must also be mindful of ourselves. Our families and children enjoy greater stability when commemorating motherhood while concurrently prioritizing self-care.”
Mrs. Trump has been a strong proponent of helping children thrive and succeed, especially in her “Be Best” initiative during her husband’s White House administration. This initiative served as a public awareness campaign for “well-being, online safety, and opioid abuse” for children.
“I’ll be home in a little while!” President Trump said onstage alongside comments wishing his wife a happy Mother’s Day.
President Trump and Mrs. Trump have been married for 19 years. The First Lady also recently made her return to the 2024 political sphere by hosting a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans in April.
