In response to a report that the FBI is targeting President Trump’s MAGA followers, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., has called for defunding the government.

An article published by the news outlet Newsweek highlighted the FBI’s fight against domestic terrorism and their new target, President Trump supporters. Classified data from an anonymous FBI official obtained by Newsweek explains that the FBI is under pressure to ensure there is not a repeat of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

The FBI was tasked with seeking out and preventing attacks of domestic terrorism, according to the FBI investigations.

Fox News host Jesse Watters explained that these investigations into President Trump supporters have doubled from 2020 to 2021. “FBI assessments on Americans have also doubled, and an FBI assessment is about as close spying on American citizens as you can really get without saying it,” he said.

Both Greene and Watters have called out these so-called investigations into President Trump’s supporters, with the congresswoman slamming Joe Biden for weaponizing the FBI.

On X, Greene wrote, “Trump supporters continue to be targeted and persecuted by Joe Biden’s weaponized FBI and Department of Injustice. All while BLM and Antifa terrorists get off scot-free after destroying millions of dollars of property. This must end. Defund the weaponized government!!”

Newsweek reported what Biden tweeted last year in September: “Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are a threat to the very soul of this country. MAGA Republicans aim to question not only the legitimacy of past elections but elections being held now and into the future.”

Essentially, it is putting a target on the MAGA movement’s back. Watters pointed out that the anti-counter techniques that the FBI is using were designed to fight al-Qaeda. In contrast, it is more clear that these methods are another way Biden is targeting President Trump, who is currently fighting a jury-free trial.
