On Wednesday, the GOP-controlled House of Representatives forced former Twitter executives to sit in the hot seat as they were grilled on their history of censorship and subverting free speech on their platform before Elon Musk purchased the company.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., didn’t hold back when it came to questioning Yoel Roth (former Twitter Head of Trust and Safety), Anika Collier Navaroli (former Twitter employee), Vijaye Gadde (former Head of Legal, Policy and Trust at Twitter), and James Baker (former Deputy Counsel for Twitter).

“You can consider your speech cancelled during your time because you canceled mine,” Greene said. “You see, you permanently banned my personal Twitter account, and it was my campaign account, also.  So, let’s talk about election interference, shall we?”

Greene came prepared with the receipts, noting when her account was banned (Jan. 2, 2022), as well as her account’s reinstatement in November – after her reelection on Nov. 8, 2022.

Greene pointed out, “So, while you coordinated with DHS, the FBI, the CIA, our government, and outside groups, to permanently ban/shadow ban conservative Americans and candidates like me, and the former president of the United States, President Donald J. Trump, you were censoring and wrongfully violating our First Amendment free speech rights.”

She added, “Guess what? None of you hold security clearances. None of you are elected, and none of you represent 750,000 people, like I do.”

This week’s Twitter hearings came after several weeks of shockingly illuminating “Twitter Files” from Elon Musk, revealing incredible evidence of deep and dirty collusion between Twitter and federal agencies like the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“Watch the Twitter hearings going on right now in Washington,” Trump remarked on Truth Social on Wednesday. “They admit that the Presidential Election of 2020 was RIGGED & STOLEN! What is going to be done about this?”

Trump also reminded Americans, “Prior to deplatforming me, Twitter would not send out my Tweets, or would limit them very substantially. That would be Google and Facebook also? They took away our (my) Voice!”

Trump’s sentiments reflected Greene’s assertions made in the House this week.

“Twitter BANNED and CENSORED me, the President of the United States, and countless conservative Americans,” Greene added on Twitter. “Twitter interfered in our elections and they broke the law!”
