News of President Trump’s arraignment dominated headlines this week, leading Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., to take action.
Before the arraignment took place, Greene introduced an appropriations rider to pull funding from the investigation.
She posted about the decision to do so on Twitter, stating, “This is a weaponized government attempt to take down the top political enemy, and leading presidential candidate of the United States, Donald. J. Trump.”
Greene also declared, “We cannot allow the government to be weaponized!”
She urged members of Congress to act and reminded them of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden’s alleged crimes which have not been as scrutinized as President Trump and remain unpunished.
Just before President Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday, Greene posted another video personally addressing the American people. She said, “It’s such an abuse of our justice system.”
Greene pledged to defund Jack Smith’s special counsel and fight against the weaponization of the American government. She said that America has become a communist country, and stated, “We have been taken over. We’re not a Free Country anymore.”
She also noted how life and death decisions are made in Washington and described the severity of the “fake charges” being brought against President Trump.
The congresswoman pointed out concerns regarding the Biden crime family and the questionable behavior of Joe Biden and his son, as well as the FBI’s refusal to aid in investigations of the Biden administration.
Greene concluded that “Today President Trump is being arraigned because he’s winning the 2024 presidential election and the Biden regime is terrified of it.”
