Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., slammed former FBI Director James Comey for his latest comments that heavily supported the reelection of Joe Biden in 2024, accusing him of lying to the American people and pushing an anti-Trump agenda.
“James Comey says Joe Biden must win the election because he lied to the American people about the Russia hoax just like the weaponized FBI and DOJ is still targeting and lying about innocent President Trump,” she wrote on Twitter on Monday.
Greene was responding to comments that Comey made to former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki during a segment on MSNBC.
According to Just the News, Comey remarked that in 2024, “It has to be Joe Biden and I’m glad he’s willing to serve. “It has to be somebody committed to the rule of law, committed to the values of this country. The president must be someone who abides the law and our Constitution. And there’s no one else but Joe Biden.”
Comey was fired from his position in 2017 by President Donald Trump.
Greene continued in her comments, “Joe Biden took millions from foreign nationals and foreign countries in pay to play schemes and irresponsibly kept classified documents laying around everywhere. This is why I filed articles of impeachment against Wray, Garland, and Biden.”
Christopher Wray is the current acting director of the FBI and Merrick Garland is the acting U.S. attorney general.
“Americans are fed up with the hypocrisy of the left and the fake accusations just to create headlines and smear campaigns,” Greene concluded.
On Twitter, the congresswoman also shared a screenshot of President Trump’s latest comments surrounding the ongoing investigation that was launched at the behest of the DOJ over the so-called “classified” documents that were taken from Mar-a-Lago by the FBI in 2022.
“Reports are the Marxist Special Prosecutor, DOJ, & FBI, want to Indict me on the BOXES HOAX, despite all of the wrongdoing that they have done for SEVEN YEARS, including SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN,” Trump remarked on Truth Social.
