A new documentary launched on New Year’s Day 2024 has brought attention to an unseen side of the story regarding the events of Jan. 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol.

The film, titled “J6: A True Timeline,” offers an in-depth perspective on the hour-by-hour action points that led protestors to gather at the U.S. Capitol and, in some cases, even enter the building.

“This video seeks to create a thorough and truthful timeline of the events of January 6th,” the narrator states at the film’s opening.

The documentary was released on Open.Ink, a platform that provides a space for research, records, and archival writings, “ensuring the authenticity and relevance of the information presented.”

According to the film’s description, it seeks to present a “never-before-seen timestamped blueprint for the events of January 6, 2021, as they unfolded in real time.”

Per the movie’s summary, “The film is also different from anything produced to date because a small group of protestors, some who are J6 defendants, have been the ones to collect hours of footage to help contextualize the events of the day. The film was funded and produced entirely through small donations and tens of thousands of volunteer man hours. The hope is that the film will provoke all Americans to be more curious about the true timeline of January 6.”

According to the Open.Ink documentary page, the film was reportedly produced and created by A.J. Fischer, a Jan. 6 defendant who also is involved with InvestigateJ6. The site includes a detailed timeline of when and what allegedly happened on Jan. 6, starting at 12:59 p.m., when protestors initially entered the West Plaza.

The timeline is supplemented with video and photos, providing a comprehensive picture of what reportedly occurred at the U.S. Capitol in 2021 with minute-by-minute timestamps.

In summary, the timeline presents the chilling allegation that the USCP and the MPD “misrepresented conditions on the ground in radio transmissions to justify escalating force, and in effect incited protestors to violence.”

Fischer’s new documentary is just over one hour long and utilizes the power of video footage to supplement the research he has done on the events of Jan. 6, coupled with his personal experience being on the ground that day.

“The creators hope the film will provoke all Americans to ask questions based on what they see and hear,” the Open.Ink summary concluded.
