President Trump’s latest move seeks to kill the gag order imposed on him by Judge Juan Merchan in the hush money trial.

In a statement to the press shared on X, President Trump expressed his thoughts about the latest gag order.

President Trump stated on Thursday, “I just wanted to let you know that we’ve just filed a major motion in the appellate division concerning the absolutely unconstitutional gag order.”

Judge Merchan has ruled that President Trump has violated the gag order ten times with remarks on social media that have resulted in fines and has threatened imprisonment in the future if President Trump violates the order again.

In his statement, President Trump read aloud a quote from American attorney Jonathan Turley. The quote read, “This is a Frankenstein case. They took a dead misdemeanor. They attached it to a dead alleged federal felony and zapped it back into life.” In his quote, Turley admits that he was surprised this misdemeanor even made it into court.

President Trump also took to Truth Social to slam the gag order and call it a violation of his constitutional right. He wrote, “It is a really bad feeling to have your Constitutional Right to Free Speech, such a big part of life in our Country, so unfairly taken from you.” President Trump added, “Especially when all of the sleazebags, lowlifes, and grifters that you oppose are allowed to say absolutely anything that they want.”

In closing, President Trump wrote, “This Fascist mindset is all coming from D.C. It is a sophisticated hit job on Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, ME!”
